AGENDA:

· Important Levee Recertification News: New US Army Corp of Engineers regulations may require the removal of a number of trees growing on or adjacent to the Bridgeton levee. A survey of the impacted area will be completed in July.

· Bridgeton Path Update

· Columbia School: Vice Principal Seth Jones will bring us up to date on what is happening with the special program at the Columbia School.

· New Columbia River Crossing Maps and Plans

We will have an opportunity to see updated maps and plans for the new I-5 Bridge.

· ELECTION OF OFFICERS AND BOARD MEMBERS

Plan ahead - Annual Regatta is coming!

13th Annual Columbia Slough Regatta

Sunday, July 29th from 9am-1pm
The Columbia Slough Watershed Council presents the 13th Annual Columbia Slough Regatta! This annual celebration of the slough is the largest one-day paddle in Oregon. Last year the Regatta attracted more than 250 boats and over 500 paddlers who joined us to paddle on the Columbia Slough, the "hidden gem" of local waterways.

The Multnomah County Drainage District is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year and will host the Regatta! Paddlers can expect to see a variety of wildlife including Great Blue Herons, Bald Eagles, Beaver, Raccoon and River Otter. The easy canoe access at the Multnomah County Drainage District provides safe slack water paddling appropriate for all skill levels.

TIME: 9am-1pm
COST: A donation of $7 per person is requested to help support Columbia Slough Watershed Council's programs and activities

You can bring your own watercraft and safety equipment or you can reserve a FREE canoe or kayak for a 45 minute trip which include paddles and personal flotation devices.

For boat reservations, please provide the following information:
 The time you would like to reserve your 45 minute trip (9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm)
 Your preference for a either a Canoe or Kayak
 The number of the people in your party

NOTE: Please arrive at least 15 minutes in advance of your launch time so you have enough time to park and sign in at registration.

Our Boat Selection:
Boats are generously being donated by: Alder Creek Kayak and Canoe (AC), Willamette Riverkeepers (WRK), and Erik Kellon (EK).
