Neighborhood Meeting - September 17th

AGENDA:

The Port of Portland’s new Deicing Program and how it could affect us

Crime Prevention Issues with Havilah Ferschweiler
(Crime Prevention Program Coordinator-North Portland) and Officer Steve Jacquot

Discuss the Fall Clean-up/possible Tree Planting Day – October 25

Reminder—there will be a Tree Celebration scheduled on September 21 at 7 PM

Thoughts from Leslie Sawyer, chairman, BNA

With mitigation from losing trees, we have an opportunity to start making Bridgeton into “Portland’s Other Waterfront”. Plans are in place to widen the levee near the school which will allow us the chance to build a great little park. We also want to put up a neighborhood entry of some kind at Gantenbein and Bridgeton and work on the Bridgeton Trail and our streetscape plans. We probably will not have time to discuss this at this meeting but would love to get creative design input and funding ideas. Send your ideas to bridgeton.neighborhood@comcast.net

Sam Rodriguez of Trammell Crow Residential just called to say that they are finishing their Planning Commission presentation for an apartment complex west of Bridgeton Road. They will want to meet with us soon, but will not be ready by the 17th.

Columbia School 716 NE Marine Dr 7 PM to 9 PM
