Luckily for those of us who live near the Columbia River, we've got our friends at the Multnomah County Drainage Districts [DD] to rely on. This Thursday afternoon, you can give yourself peace of mind by learning about the important work they do to keep us safe and dry.
Slough Tour: Water Flow

At this short and casual tour, we'll learn about the people, machines, and structures that keep parts of Gresham, Fairview, and NE Portland from flooding. District Engineer Byron Woltersdorf will talk about the history of water control in the Portland area and show us the levees and pump stations onsite.
Free! Suitable for adults and children 10+, dress for the weather.
